1. NO PURCHASE NECESSARY. A PURCHASE OR PAYMENT WILL NOT IMPROVE YOUR CHANCES OF WINNING. LIMIT ONE ENTRY PER PERSON. Participation permitted only where not prohibit by law. Employees and directors of Borland Software Corporation ("Sponsor") its affiliates, subsidiaries, advertising, promotion, and fulfillment agencies, and members of the immediate family or household of each of the above are not eligible to participate. Sweepstakes starts on or around 12:00:01 a.m. Pacific Time (PT) on May 6 , 2008 and ends at 11:59:59 p.m., PT on May 8th 2008. (“Promotion Period").

2. HOW TO ENTER: To enter, register for your free JBuilder IDE of the Year T-Shirt at http://www.codegear.com/teecontest then stop by the CodeGear JavaOne Booth to pick up your T-Shirt. Wear the T-Shirt around JavaOne as you visit other booths, attend seminars and parties during the Promotion Period. If you are spotted wearing the JBuilder IDE of the Year T-Shirt by our spotter, you may win an American Express Gift Certificate worth approximately $1,000. Limit one winner per day for May 6th and May 7th. Once submitted, entry cannot be deleted, canceled, or modified. By entering, you agree that Sponsor may use the information provided by you for marketing purposes. If you do not wish to be contacted by Borland or its partners, you may opt out of future communications by following the opt out directions when prompted. Limit one entry per person. You may enter the Sweepstakes under one name and one email address only. Enter using only an email address subscribed and registered in your name. In the event of a dispute as to entries submitted by multiple individuals using the same email account, entry will be deemed to have been submitted by the authorized subscriber of the email account used to enter the Sweepstakes at the actual time of entry. PRIZES AND ODDS OF WINNING: Two Grand Prizes will be awarded from one drawing from all eligible entries received during the Promotion Period.  GRAND PRIZE: The grand prize will be a $1,000 AMEX Gift Certificate approximate retail value (ARV) of $1,000 USD. A description of the prizes and its ARV will be posted at www.codegear.com/xxx. Total ARV of the prize offered will not exceed $__1000. The odds of winning a prize depend on the number of eligible entries received. The random selection of the winner and awarding of the prize will be conducted under the supervision of Sponsor (Judge), whose decision is final and binding in all matters pertaining to this Sweepstakes. Entrants agree to be bound by these Official Rules and the decision of the Judge.

4. GENERAL CONDITIONS: Winners will be notified in person (at Sponsor's sole discretion) and may be required to sign and return an Affidavit of Eligibility and Release of Publicity and Liability within seven days of notification. In the event of noncompliance, if a winner cannot be reached at the e-mail or mailing address on that winner's entry, or if a prize or prize notification is returned as unclaimed or undeliverable, that prize will be forfeited and an alternate winner will be selected. 6. DISPUTES: THIS SWEEPSTAKES IS GOVERNED BY THE LAWS OF THE UNITED STATES AND THE STATE OF CALIFORNIA, WITHOUT RESPECT TO CONFLICT OF LAW DOCTRINES. As a condition of participating in this Sweepstakes, participant agrees that any and all disputes which cannot be resolved between the parties, and causes of action arising out of or connected with this Sweepstakes, shall be resolved individually, without resort to any form of class action, exclusively before a court located in California having jurisdiction.
