Jim Douglas is a 20-plus year veteran of the high-tech industry. Most recently, he was president and chief executive officer of ReShape Inc., an electronic design automation startup. Prior to ReShape, Douglas was vice president of worldwide sales and marketing for Tality, Inc., a design services company that was launched as a spin-off of Cadence Design Systems, Inc. Jim’s experience also includes eight years at Cadence in various senior management roles, including vice president of product marketing, with global responsibility for Cadence’s $950 million software business. Jim earned a B.S. and an MBA from Santa Clara University.
Allen Bauer leads the overall technology and architectural direction of CodeGear products, working with product management in researching and defining future directions and technological trends. Allen joined CodeGear from Borland, where he started in early 1992 as an entry-level engineer on the Turbo Pascal development team. He was also one of the original developers for the award-winning Delphi product. He worked on both the application frameworks and the Integrated Development Environment (IDE), and was responsible for the re-design of the Delphi IDE into a multi-language, general-purpose environment which now forms the basis of Developer Studio.
Prior Borland, he was a product design engineer for a security/access control company based in St. Louis, Missouri. He also served with the Borland-sponsored peer support group - Team Borland. (http://www.teamb.com), and was a regular contributer to discussions on the Borland forums hosted by online service provider, Compuserve. Allen started programming when he was 10 years old.
David Intersimone (known to many as “David I”) is responsible for working closely with the developer community, ensuring the requirements of the individual programmer to development teams in larger enterprises are folded into CodeGear’s strategic product plans. He is a long-standing champion of software developers and the importance of their role in the industry. Nearly 21 years ago, David joined Borland to direct its product services group, where he has held a variety of engineering/development positions, created the developer relations group, and became an icon in the developer community. Prior to joining Borland, he was Director of Product Services for Softsel Computer Products, Inc. (now Merisel). David holds a B.S. in Computer Science from California Polytechnic State University at San Luis Obispo.
Cynthia Mignogna has more than 17 years of strategic financial management experience in private and public high-tech, software and Internet-based companies. Most recently, she was SVP, Chief Financial Officer and Corporate Secretary for Pharsight Corporation, where she led the company to profitability for the first time in its 10-year history. She drove the implementation of highly successful investor and public relations programs, strengthened the company’s G&A organization, and spearheaded the implementation of more efficient and controlled financial and operating systems.
Prior to Pharsight, Cynthia served as Vice President of Finance at Rainmaker, and served as Interim Vice President of Finance at Calico Commerce, where she played a key role in the sale of the company’s assets to PeopleSoft. As CFO and COO for Quiver Inc., she helped drive the company’s transition from a consumer-based Internet model to an enterprise software business model. As CFO of InfoSeek Corp., she played a principal role in growing the company’s revenue and positioning the company for a multi-billion dollar acquisition by The Walt Disney Company. She has also held financial management positions at high-growth public companies including Fractal Design Corporation, Western Wireless Corporation, AST Research and Emulex Corporation. She earned a BA in Economics at California State University, Long Beach.
As head of Worldwide Field Operations, Peter Shambora and his team are responsible for advancing CodeGear products worldwide and establishing key partnerships. An industry veteran, Peter has more than 25 years of high-tech experience in executive management, sales and entrepreneurship from companies such as Data Center Technologies, StorageWay , MTI Corp. and Mylex. Shambora holds a B.S. degree in Industrial Management from San Jose State University and an M.S. in Systems Management from the University of Southern California.
Duncan Sharp provides support in all legal matters for CodeGear. He transitioned to CodeGear from Borland, where he was Corporate Counsel. His responsibilities included supporting general corporate and board matters, securities filings, AsiaPacific, and worldwide revenue contracts. Duncan has a law degree from Santa Clara University, and a bachelors degree in literature from UC Santa Barbara.
For almost a decade Michael Swindell has led product management for Borland's award-winning IDE franchises. Michael is passionate about software development and calls upon his years of experience with technology waves such as RAD, Linux, Web Services and .Net to guiding CodeGear’s strategy and delivering innovative products to developers. With experience in developing and implementing successful product and business strategies in competitive markets, Michael has held product and technology leadership positions at a number of high-tech companies including Imation/3M Corporation and Adobe spin-off, Luminous Corp.
Joining Borland in 1992, Steve Todd rose through the engineering management ranks, leading teams on Delphi, JBuilder and other award-winning products. In his current role, Steve heads the Engineering organization at CodeGear and is responsible for the development and delivery of CodeGear’s products including InterBase, Developer Studio, Delphi, Delphi for PHP, C++Builder and JBuilder. Prior to joining Borland, he ran engineering at Ashton Tate’s European Development Center in the UK. Steve holds a B.S. in Physics from the University of London’s Imperial College of Science and Technology.
